Hulk Hogan
Hulk Hogan, or Terry Gene Bollea, was born on August 11th, 1953, in Augusta, Georgia. Hogan began his wrestling career early as a wrestler in high school at the age of 16. Hogan was also notably a musician, playing the bass guitar in several bands while in Florida. Hogan admired professional wrestlers from an early age, and watched several of them while performing in bars in Tampa, Florida. Originally Richard Wayne Penniman, “Little Richard†was born in Macon, Georgia, on December 5th, 1932. Richard was exposed to music at a very early age. The family sang regularly and called themselves the Penniman Singers. Richard sang in many churches and entered several musical contests. Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin Luther King, Jr. grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of a Reverend. King was born on January 15th, 1929. The elder King had originally intended on naming his son Michael King, Jr., but a visit to Europe inspired him to name the child after the originator of the Protestant movement. While spending his childhood in Atlanta, King attended school at the Booker T. Washington High School. Otis Redding
Otis Redding grew up in Macon, Georgia. Redding was born in Dawson, Georgia, on September 9th, 1941. Redding began his musical career early, singing in the Vineville Baptist Church choir. Redding also gained some local notoriety early on by winning a talent show at the Douglass Theatre for 15 weeks in a row. The well known singer, Ray Charles, was born on September 23rd, 1930. Ray Charles had a tough upbringing, growing up without a father and in an economically disadvantaged environment. While in his thirties, Charles also had issues with the law. Ray Charles was arrested in 1965 on heroin charges, but managed to turn things around in a rehabilitation clinic.
